“Bovox Makes Real Strength! " A Rare lid for Medicinal Advertising Jar or Crock, attributed to White's of Utica, New York State, ca.1895. Original lid with notched spoon cut-out, Greek Key border and button handle. Lid is embossed: BOVOX / TRADEMARK / AN / ESSENCE OF BEEF. Strong cobalt accents on the relief decorations. Lid has small chip on button handle and two crescent shaped lines around handle (see close-ups); otherwise Very Good to Excellent with stong embossing and color.
